Supercar, Superfam star Kash Ahmad says he was inspired to launch career after teacher in Pakistan punished - The Sun

THEY have spent the past 20 years working with some of the flashiest and most expensive supercars in the world.

But life wasn’t always so glamorous for brothers Kash and Shabs Ahmad — the stars of the BBC’s hit show Supercar, Superfam.

Kash, who runs Kream Developments, has revealed he was inspired to get into customising top-end motors, after his Pakistani teacher brutally punished him for his love of cars.

In an exclusive interview, he said: “I was crazy about cars from a young age — when I was around ten-years-old  I went to a school in Pakistan.

“We had chalkboards in those times and I was sat at the back of the class and I was sketching a car, and this car was always my dream car.

“The teacher came up and saw what I was doing and he made me go to the front of the class and do what is known  as the ‘hen punishment’ where you have to hook your elbows behind your knees and hold your earlobes.

“It’s an extremely painful position to be in for two hours and while I was doing that I was so infuriated and I kept thinking, ‘I’m going to have that car’ and I did — and I still have it today.

“It’s a Nissan 300zx and when I was 17-years-old I was able to build it myself. It eventually became globally famous by how cool it looked —  and that’s where it all started.”

Kash’s revelation comes following the launch of the second series of Supercar, Superfam on BBC3 which takes viewers into the brothers’ world of slick whips, sibling rivalries and supercar style.

The show sees the brothers customise girl racer Aini’s Lamborghini Huracan with 500,000 hand-placed Swarvoski crystals as well as giving a £1.5million Bugatti Veyron a spray job.

BBC3’s Supercar, Superfam is available as a boxset on iPlayer now.
